This program is aimed at placing the Sacrament of Reconciliation once again at the center of the pastoral activity of the Church. As we are all well aware, the recent outbreak of a particularly virulent strain of the flu has resulted in a record number of people admitted to the hospital, numerous school closings, and, in some very sad cases, the deaths of individuals who contracted it. Concerns have been raised regarding the reception of Holy Communion and other contact during the Sacred Liturgy that could potentially transmit the flu virus or other contagious diseases.
